Taltz injection

Taltz is a brand name for a medication called ixekizumab. It is a type of biologic drug used for treating certain inflammatory conditions, particularly moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Izekizumab works by targeting and inhibiting a specific protein in the body called interleukin-17A (IL-17A), which is involved in the body's immune response and inflammatory processes. By blocking IL-17A, Taltz helps to reduce inflammation and symptoms associated with these conditions.

Taltz is typically administered as a subcutaneous injection, usually once every few weeks, depending on the specific condition being treated and the dosage prescribed by a healthcare provider.

As with any medication, there can be potential side effects and risks associated with Taltz, so it's important for patients to discuss these with their healthcare provider before starting treatment. Common side effects may include injection site reactions, upper respiratory tract infections, and fungal infections.
